Abstract

Silver gallium selenide was proposed in 1972 for nonlinear infrared applications.1 Improvements in crystal quality since that time have resulted in successful demonstrations of nonlinear frequency conversion by several researchers. In this paper we report on the optical parametric oscillator (OPO) performance of several AgGaSe2 crystals pumped at a high repetition rate.
