Wavelength-dependent fluorescence suppression measurements in electron-beam pumped KrF

Abstract

Efficient extraction from the KrF* manifold requires good coupling between the upper and lower levels of the manifold. To understand this process better, the KrF* sidelight fluorescence emission from the active volume of an electron-beam (e-beam) pumped KrF laser is measured over the spectral bandwidth as a function of the intracavity flux. These data will be used to help validate a KrF computer model being developed at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
