Low power interferometric bistable devices in GaAs epitaxial structures

Abstract

Intrinsic bistable devices represent a very promising approach for the fabrication of large 2-D arrays of optical logic elements, since the simplicity of their structure allows their miniaturization down to the micrometer scale, hence reducing optical power requirements.
