Nd:YAG laser with phase conjugating mirror

Abstract

High average power Nd;YAG lasers suffer from beam distortions due to thermal tensing in the active material. The performance of such lasers can be improved by compensating internal phase distortions with a phase conjugating mirror (PCM).
