Abstract

Phase conjugation using high power pulsed CO2 lasers has been widely reported,1 whereas the use of low power cw devices has received less attention,2 presumably because of the lack of suitable nonlinear media. For degenerate four-wave mixing (DFWM) experiments, thermally generated gratings can in principle be utilized2,3 as a strong but slow time-response scattered.
