Laser experiment In the Phobos Program

Abstract

In 1989, when the Soviet spaceship approaches Mars, the satellite Phobos’s surface will be ionized by a pulsed solid state laser. The plasma ions obtained will be analyzed by the onboard mass spectrometer. (Poster paper)
