Near field modulation induced by SBS phase conjugation of astigmatic beams

Abstract

Phase conjugation by stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS PC) is a promising wavefront correction technique. However, our experimental study indicates that when the primary phase aberration is astigmatism, the reflected near field contains barshaped intensity modulation.
