Abstract

We describe the operation of an additive (interferometric) pulse mode-locked (APM) NaCI:OH color center laser.1 This is, we believe, the first demonstration of an AFM laser based on a gain medium other than the KCI:TI°(1) system. The major advantage of the NaCI:OH APM laser is its high average output power and broad tuning range.
