Abstract

Since its first observation in 1985 by Slusher et al.,1 squeezed light has been produced using various nonlinear processes, involving phase sensitivity in optical parametric amplification and deamplification. The most successful schemes so far Involve second-order nonlinearities in crystals, such as lithium niobate2,3 or potasslum-titanyl-phosphate.4-6
