Stimulated Rayleigh-Kerr scattering from a CS2 liquid-core fiber system

Abstract

A superbroadening stimulated scattering has been observed from a CS2 liquid-core hollow fiber system with a long gain length. Its salient feature is different from the early reported phenomena in liquid such as the spectral broadening of difference frequency modulation, self-broadening, and stimulated Rayleigh-wing scattering; and it cannot be explained simply by using the previously suggested theories.1-4
