Abstract

As tunable lasers have become more widespread in use, so too have devices to measure the wavelength of these lasers. A bewildering array of wavemeter styles has arisen as a result. Due to commercial production, the most familiar of these are the traveling Michelson wavemeter and the Fizeau wavemeter, although several other interesting designs exist. Examples of such are the sigmameter and multiple Fabry-Perot wavemeters.
