Abstract

Optoelectronic integrated circuits (OEICs) incorporating both optical and electronic devices can offer an attractive means to improve the optical components’ functionality, performance, and reliability. OEIC technology is not only recognized as useful for optical communication and interconnection applications, it is also expected to form a basis of future optical signal processing and computing technologies.1-3
