Abstract

The achievement of fast mixing of the iodine and oxygen flows is one of the main difficulties in the accomplishment of an efficient chemical oxygen-iodine laser (COIL). A model is proposed In view of a better understanding of this problem. It is based on a combination of fluid dynamics including diffusion with chemical kinetics.
