Abstract
A series of studies involving cytotoxic effects in normal cells PTK2 and malignant cells Hela in vitro by the treatment of hematoporphyrin derivative (HPD) and evaluation of the drug effect of components of HPD and various HPD products from China and the United States as well as chlorophyll derivatives (GPD) by a technique of laser microbeam irradiation of single cells are reported. A He-Ne laser microbeam system emitting red light with a 832.8-nm wavelength and an argon laser microbeam system emitting blue light with a 488.0-nm wavelength and green light with a 514.5-nm wavelength were used. Rose chambers with cells pretreated with photosensitizers were chosen, and target single cells were focused for laser microirradiation, The irradiated cells were then followed and recorded morphologically under a microscope.
