ADAPTIVE OPTICS COMPENSATION IN A RAMAN AMPLIFIER CONFIGURATION

Abstract

Real-time adaptive compensation through a Raman amplifier has been studied experimentally. Phase distortions on a reference beacon were measured with wavefront sensor and imposed on the Stokes input to Raman amplifier. The experimental data indicate a significant beam-quality improvement.
