Self-injected CO2 lasers

Abstract

Adiabatic pulse compression by the self-injection technique has already been obtained in solid-state and flash-pumped dye lasers.1 We present now an extension of this technique to the CO2 laser with the first experimental verification of nanosecond pulse generation.
