Abstract

The linewidth of a Fabry-Perot (F. P.) laser decreases as the laser cavity length increases. For distributed-feedback (DFB) Injection lasers, however, such behavior has not been confirmed experimentally. We report here the first observation of linewidth narrowing with DFB cavity length.
