Abstract
A room temperature, flashlamp pumped, long pulse (10 microsecond) Ti:Ai„0,, laser has been operated at over 250 millijoules output energy. The total bandwidth over which losing has been observed exceeds 375 nanometers, from 686.5 through 1062 nanometers. Efficiency, measured as output energy divided by total energy deposited in the flashlamp, has been in excess of 0.7 percent. Multiple simultaneous wavelength operation has also been observed, with wavelength separation of over 200 nanometers. Data relative to these observations and others will be presented.
