Abstract

In recent years the technique of phase conjugation in laser devices has generated wide scientific interest. One particular area of investigation is the production of phase-conjugate resonators. If a phase-conjugate mirror (PCM) is used in place of a conventional resonator mirror, it has, in principle, the ability to correct for intracavity distortions produced by the laser amplifier or cavity optics.
