Abstract

With development of lasers and nonlinear optics, the technique of frequency doubling is now becoming an important method for broadening the laser spectrum and is used for research on the interaction between light and materials. Barium sodium niobate (Na2NaNb5O15, BSN) is a much used material for frequency doubling; it can be used as a material for critical phase-matched SHG. The experimental apparatus for SHG includes a Nd:YAG laser and a precise temperature controller.
