Lattice structures have found an increasing number of applications in the signal-processing area during the past decade. These structures can be used as alternative forms to realize a given filter transfer function or to parametrize a signal model.1 Compared to other realization forms, lattice structures have some advantageous characteristics, such as straightforwardness of implementation, modularity, regularity, and good sensitivity properties, which are very attractive for filtering applications.
