Abstract

We report a technique for operating a single nonlinear Fabry-Perot etalon which yields the decisions NOR, NAND, XOR, OR, AND, XOR. The predicted transmission vs time characteristics are verified by an experiment with a dye-filled etalon, to some extent by previous work in a GaAs device, and by computer simulation.1
