Abstract

Transverse stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) within KDP crystal segments and index-matching fluids are potential limitations on Nova harmonic conversion array design and performance. We have developed an overall picture of the anisotropic Raman scattering behavior of KDP from a large set of spontaneous and stimulated measurements.
