Abstract

An electric discharge cw CO laser is one of the potential candidates for high-power industrial lasers. To date, compared with the highly developed CO2 laser, however, there are only a few reports on practical high-power CO lasers, probably because of technical problems concerned with thermal conditioning, gas contamination, etc.
