Abstract

To investigate the possibility of a power increase in technological lasers a theoretical model has been developed. This model describes the processes in the lasing mixture and includes equations for vibrational kinetics, radiation intensity, and gasdynamic parameters. The experimental values of rate coefficients have been used in the calculations. The Boltzmann equation for the electron velocity distribution function was solved, and excitation rate constants were found.
