Compact rf-excited CO2 laser design and recent applications

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

A CO2 waveguide laser in a monolithic rf-excited structure has been built at S.A.T. In addition to its ruggedness and simplified design this new structure provides a stable Gaussian mode of emission and a longer lifetime for the sealed-off laser without electrodes in the plasma.
