Abstract

Adiabatic pulse compression by a large factor (~10) has been achieved simply and reliably in conventional lasers by suitable driving of the cavity Q-factor with a Pockels cell (PC), This is the effect of an unconventional technique of self-injection (or cavity flipping).1,2
