Scanning, tunable XeCl laser: characteristics and application to LIF detection of OH

Abstract

We report the Doppler-limited resolution detection of OH using a narrowband continuously tunable excimer laser system. Excimer lasers have demonstrated high efficiency, high output energy, and tunability over their fluorescence spectra. The fluorescence spectrum, and small-signal gain coefficients, are shown in Fig. 1.
