Abstract

The rotation-vibration absorption bands in the IR region of the spectrum can be used to measure the concentration of a gas in a mixture. Concentration measurements are used for numerous purposes, e.g., detecting pollutant and dangerous gases, controlling burning processes, controlling the state of many industrial processes.
