Wide-field optical mapping of neural activity in awake mice and the importance of hemodynamic correction

Abstract

Wide-field optical mapping (WFOM) of cortical neural activity and hemodynamics can be achieved in awake, behaving GCaMP animals. Here, we demonstrate the importance of correcting for the effects of hemoglobin absorption for this modality.
