Designing large field-of-view two photon microscopy using optical invariant analysis and off-the-shelf components

Abstract

Conventional two photon microscopy (TPM) is capable of imaging neural dynamics with subcellular resolution, but is limited to a field of view (FOV) <Ø1mm. We present a strategy for extending the FOV to Ø8mm while maintaining cellular resolution.
