Abstract

We investigated the physiological responses of various breast tissues to Indocyanine Green administration. The results presented are obtained from our ongoing study on human breast and breast tumors using concurrent Diffuse Optical Tomography (DOT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). A novel algorithm suited to image the contrast-enhanced breast is applied for quantitative measurements. Differences in the functional behavior between contrast-enhanced breast cancer and other breast tissues are demonstrated.
