Abstract

We present our latest results on development of high-power Cr: forsterite lasers for biomedical applications. The use of Cr: forsterite laser for multiphoton fluorescence imaging is demonstrated for the purpose of neuronal tissue imaging. The other nonlinear optical techniques (such as harmonics generation) are discussed with respect to biomedical applications.
