Calibration and color correction of CCD-based clinical photographs

Abstract

Digital photography in human clinical trials is rapidly replacing conventional film techniques. However, raw digital images generally have a color cast and lack optimum contrast. New methods have been developed for calibration of acquisition conditions and automated color balancing.
