Abstract
Fluorescence and reflectance spectroscopy have the potential to reduce the costs of cervical cancer screening and detection. Algorithms based on three to four emission spectra yield performance comparable to colposcopy in expert hands. Moderate size clinical trials are necessary to stratify measurements by patient age and hormonal status.
