Abstract

There is mounting evidence that there exists a connection between abnormal tryptophan metabolism and neurodegenerative diseases. The relationship between tryptophan and kynurenines in 48 age-matched normal and Alzheimer’s disease human brain tissues was investigated using label-free fluorescence spectroscopy.
