Abstract

The previous design of the adaptive liquid crystal diffractive lens for ophthalmic applications has limitations in achievable lens aperture and power. By using harmonic diffractive lens concept, these limitations can be overcome. Lenses with 20-30 mm aperture and 1-3.5 diopters power can be achieved.
