Optical Monitoring of Cerebral Blood Flow in Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke During Intravenous Administration of Normal Saline

Abstract

We demonstrate use of an improved Diffuse Correlation Spectroscopy instrument to monitor cerebral blood flow (CBF) at the bedside during intravenous administration of normal saline, a standard stroke treatment paradigm employed to maximize CBF.
