Abstract

The integration of tetrapeptide, a versatile self-assembly motif, with ruthenium(II)tris(bipyridine) complex affords a supramolecular metallo-hydrogelator. The gelator’s cell compatibility and specific localization in lysosomes make it potential fluorophore for long-life lysosome tracking.
