Real-time Correction of Intrinsic Tissue Absorption in a Hand-held Fluorescence Imaging Camera

Abstract

We investigate the correction of fluorescence intensities in epi-illumination imaging by normalization to absorption images. Experiments on custom lymph node phantoms as well as theoretical studies reveal improved estimation of dye concentration for superficial nodes.
