Broadband Optical Mammography: Hemoglobin saturation maps for cancerous human breasts

Abstract

We present hemoglobin saturation maps of breast cancer patients using a diffusion model for continuous wave optical mammography. Initial clinical results show that reduced hemoglobin saturation is found in the cancerous region of the breast.
