Abstract

The light propagation in a head model of which structure is based upon MR and X-CT images is predicated to investigate the influence of a frontal sinus on brain function measurement of near-infrared spectroscopy. The influence of the frontal sinus on the light propagation in the brain is not consistent across source-detector positions.
