Bacteria Classification by Means of the Statistical Analysis of Fresnel Diffraction Patterns of Bacteria Colonies

Abstract

The novel optical system for analysis of Fresnel diffraction patterns of bacterial colonies is proposed. Obtained results have shown that features extraction and statistical analysis of Fresnel patterns enables bacteria species classification with high accuracy.
