The Effect of Instrumentation on the Experimental Reduction of Photon Scatter in Time-Resolved Diffuse Fluorescence Tomography

Abstract

Time-resolved detection of transmitted photons through diffusive media can be used to reduce scatter, but experimentally this is limited by instrument design. We investigate the impact of geometry, temporal response and sensitivity on this effect.
