Neurovascular Coupling Varies with Level of Global Cerebral Ischemia in a Rat Model

Abstract

We employed optical imaging to study the acute effects of global cerebral ischemia on cerebral blood flow and metabolic functional responses to forepaw stimulation in rats. We compared these responses to the underlying neuronal activity.
