Quantitative Image Analysis to Predict the Neoplastic Region in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma using Multiple Fluorescent Contrast Agents

Abstract

Three probes targeting molecular or morphologic characteristics of cancer were topically applied to freshly resected oral tissue. Optical contrast was used to predict the region of neoplasia; predicted regions agree well with histopathology maps.
