Two photon Imaging of the Oxygen Partial Pressure in Cerebral Microvasculature

Abstract

We report the first practical in vivo two-photon pO2 measurements in cortical microvasculature, made possible by using a two-photon-enhanced phosphorescent nanoprobe. New method features ~250-µm measurement depth, sub-second temporal resolution and requires low probe concentration.
