Abstract

The multi-spectral imaging technique has been used for distant mapping of in-vivo skin haemoglobin by analyzing spectral data at each reflected image pixel and constructing 2-D maps of their relative concentrations. Besides, potential of selective R-G-B analysis of skin images taken by a consumer color camera has been studied under bi-chromatic (532 nm and 635 nm) laser illumination. Skin haemoglobin changes during finger arterial occlusions were assessed by both methods. R-G-B analysis provided sufficient contrast for qualitative assessment of skin haemoglobin changes.
