Using Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Microscopy to Monitor Photofrin Uptake, Re-distribution, and Intracellular Microenvironment

Abstract

Real-time dosimetry is important to photodynamic therapy treatments. In a cellular microscopy study, we measured the fluorescence lifetime changes of Photofrin® when it bonds to specific intracellular components at specific stages of the cellular uptake.
