The Role of Light Scattering Spectroscopy in Spectral Diagnosis of Disease

Abstract

Light scattering spectroscopy (LSS), which contributes to diffuse tissue reflectance, provides important diagnostic information. However, the presence of blood vessels provide an alternate interpretation. An alternate view of the role of LSS will be presented.
